Mission, Projects & Events

The mission of the Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE), Maryland Chapter, is to further the presence and work of Blacks in the total life of the Episcopal Church

  • To encourage strong clergy and lay leadership in all parishes and in our Diocese
  • To expand parish and diocesan support and participation in UBE programs and projects
  • To increase the knowledge of the history of Blacks and their leadership in The Episcopal Church (TEC) and the Anglican Communion
  • To continue fully participating in the mission and governance of the Diocese and TEC
  • To advocate for social and economic justice, in our communities, the Church, and the world.

To those further those ends, the Maryland Chapter of UBE supports and sponsors:

Membership is open to All, regardless of race, gender, or any “isms.”
